National Film & Television School: Hypothetical Arts & Culture Show for ITV
FLUIDITY
The Brief: Module Outline - The commercial broadcaster ITV is starting an Arts and Culture Channel. The programme will aim to reflect popular cultural issues of the day and will want to appeal as an inclusive and populist strand of the ITV group. This doesn’t mean a dumbed down cultural look at the world, but one that is easy to access, not patronising and really interesting and enlightening.
The process - Investigate arts and culture programmes that are current and have gone before.
We need you to develop a visual identity of your new programme. You can choose the name it’s open to you. This will be a fast project, we need to see visuals quickly. After some visual development your concept can be presented either 2D or 3D, again it’s up to you. Do bear in mind where this visual will be seen, mainly on screen during the intro of the programme, idents and advertising. The design needs to be strong, arresting and must be able to work in colour and mono.
